Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 June 2026
Curbie is operated by Sloto Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company number 815100). In this policy, “Curbie”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Sloto Limited. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist:
- Your email address.
- A note of where you signed up (for example, “website”).
- Basic technical data that our website host and backend automatically log, such as your IP address and the time of your request.
When you use the Curbie app:
- Account details you provide, such as your email and any profile information.
- The parking spots (“pins”), notes, and ratings you choose to submit.
- Device and usage information needed to run the service, such as app version, device type, and diagnostic data.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To run the waitlist and send you Curbie news and updates — legal basis: your consent, given when you submit your email. You can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights).
- To provide the Curbie service — legal basis: performance of a contract with you.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve it — legal basis: our legitimate interests in operating a safe, working product.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) who handle data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Supabase — the database and backend that stores your waitlist email and, later, app data.
- Vercel — hosting for the curbie.app website.
- Apple (App Store and app services) and the mapping and infrastructure providers we use to show parking pins.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), or may process data outside it. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses — so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist email until you ask us to remove it. If you have a Curbie account, we keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Curbie account at any time directly inside the app: open Profile and tap Delete Account at the bottom of the screen.
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data — including your pins, comments, votes, profile, and device tokens. We retain your email address and any feedback you give us during the deletion flow for up to 12 months in a separate, restricted archive.
Our legal basis for this minimal retention is our legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f): preventing fraudulent re-signups and learning from user feedback to improve the service. You can ask us to erase this archived data sooner by emailing privacy@curbie.app.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased (the “right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@curbie.app. We will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie), if you think we have handled your data improperly.
